We are hiring: Director of Music Ministries

Job Description:

As the Director of Music Ministries at Immaculate Conception Church, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of our music ministry program. This includes coordinating music for Masses, rehearsals with various choirs, and collaborating with the pastoral team to enhance the worship experience for our parishioners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate music for all liturgical celebrations at the parish
• Direct and lead rehearsals for choir members
• Select appropriate hymns and music that align with Catholic traditions
• Collaborate with the pastoral team to enhance the overall worship experience
• Recruit and train new choir members as needed
• Organize special music events and concerts throughout the year

Requirements:

• Proficiency in playing the piano/organ and conducting choirs
• Deep understanding of Catholic liturgy and music traditions
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
• Prior experience in music ministry within a Catholic church setting is preferred
