Position: Senior Product Development Manager, Cosmetics & Perfumes
Location: Houston, TX
Job Description:
As the Senior Product Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the innovation and creation of Lamik’s cosmetics and perfumes. You will lead a team of talented professionals to develop new products from concept to launch, ensuring they meet our standards of quality, performance, and uniqueness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the product development process from ideation to commercialization, overseeing all aspects of formulation, testing, and production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products align with brand strategies and consumer needs.
- Stay current on market trends, competitors, and industry innovations to inform product development decisions.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to deliver products on time and within scope.
- Participate in vendor selection, negotiation, and relationship management to source raw materials and packaging components.
- Conduct regular product evaluations, testing, and quality control measures to ensure products meet regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the product development team to foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development within the cosmetics or perfumes industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in formulating a wide range of cosmetics and perfumes, including but not limited to foundations, lipsticks, eyeshadows, fragrances, and skincare products.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for cosmetics and perfumes, including FDA guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices, and safety assessments.
