Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team at Memorial Hermann Elrod Health Center – HISD. The Medical Assistant will work closely with our healthcare providers to deliver patient care in a clinic setting.

Responsibilities:

• Rooming patients and taking vital signs
• Assisting with procedures and treatments
• Performing EKGs and phlebotomy
• Preparing and sterilizing medical instruments
• Updating patient charts and electronic medical records
• Providing patient education
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
