Position: Direct Support Professional

Location: County & Parish Government

Job Description:

As a Direct Support Professional at Mhmra, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and special needs in their daily lives. This includes assisting them with personal care, facilitating recreational activities, and promoting independence and community integration. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and special needs
• Assisting with daily living skills, such as meal preparation, medication management, and personal hygiene
• Implementing individualized support plans and documenting progress
• Participating in team meetings and collaborating with other professionals to ensure the highest quality of care
• Advocating for the rights and well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities and special needs

Qualifications:

We are looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and special needs. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
