Job Title: Minister of Music

Mt Ararat Baptist Church is seeking a Minister of Music to lead our worship services and ministry through music. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a vibrant and growing church that values the power of music in worship.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead music for all church services, including Sunday morning worship, special services, and events.
• Coordinate with the pastor and other staff to plan music that complements the theme of each service.
• Recruit, train, and lead volunteers for the choir, praise team, and other music ministries.
• Work with the audio/visual team to ensure that all music-related technology is working properly and enhance the worship experience.
• Develop and maintain a music budget, including purchasing music, instruments, and equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with the pastor and other staff to create a cohesive worship experience that engages the congregation.

Qualifications:

• Strong musical ability and experience in leading worship services.
• Proficient in playing at least one instrument and leading congregational singing.
• Experience working with choirs and praise teams, as well as coordinating musical ensembles.
• Ability to collaborate with staff, volunteers, and other musicians to create a unified worship experience.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills to effectively manage music ministry programs.
• A deep understanding of Baptist theology and worship practices.
