We are currently looking to fill the following position:

Position: Youth Pastor

As the Youth Pastor of New Canaan Baptist Church, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of staff members and volunteers in guiding and shepherding the youth in our congregation. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual who is excited about ministering to young people and helping them develop their faith in a safe and enriching environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive youth ministry program that includes weekly gatherings, special events, and service opportunities
• Provide pastoral care and support to youth and their families
• Organize and lead youth retreats, mission trips, and community service projects
• Recruit, train, and empower adult volunteers to assist in the youth ministry program
• Collaborate with other church leaders to integrate youth into the overall life of the congregation
• Stay current on trends in youth culture and adapt ministry strategies accordingly

Qualifications:

• Must have a deep commitment to the Christian faith and a passion for working with youth
• Previous experience in youth ministry is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Bachelor’s degree in theology, ministry, or a related field is desired
• Must pass a background check
