Funeral Director Position Available

O W Wiley Mortuary, a well-established funeral home in the heart of the community, is currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Funeral Director to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual who is passionate about providing respectful and caring services to families during their time of need.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and arrange all aspects of funeral services, including burials, cremations, and memorial services
• Meet with families to discuss their wishes and help them make informed decisions about funeral arrangements
• Prepare and handle all necessary paperwork and legal documents related to the deceased
• Coordinate with clergy, florists, cemeteries, and other service providers to ensure all details are taken care of
• Oversee embalming and preparation of the deceased for viewings and services
• Provide emotional support and guidance to grieving families throughout the funeral process

Requirements:

• Valid Funeral Director license
• At least 2 years of experience in the funeral industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and emotional situations with empathy and professionalism
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software

Funeral Supplies & Services Sales Associate Position Available

We are also looking for a driven and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our Funeral Supplies & Services department. This role will involve assisting families with selecting caskets, urns, memorial keepsakes, and other funeral-related products to honor their loved ones.

Responsibilities:

• Assist families in choosing appropriate funeral products based on their preferences and budget
• Provide information on various options available, including casket types, personalization options, and memorial keepsakes
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of products
• Process orders, handle payments, and maintain accurate sales records
• Create and update product displays to showcase inventory
• Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any questions or concerns promptly

Requirements:

• Previous retail or sales experience preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Knowledge of funeral products and services is a plus
• Basic computer skills
