Position: Volunteer Coordinator

Our Lady of St John Church is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Volunteer Coordinator. This is a vital role within our church community as volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization. The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting, training, and organizing volunteers for various church activities and events.

Responsibilities:

• Recruit and onboard volunteers for church programs and events
• Coordinate volunteer schedules and assignments
• Provide training and orientation for new volunteers
• Communicate regularly with volunteers to ensure engagement and satisfaction
• Organize volunteer appreciation events and recognition programs
• Work closely with church staff and committees to identify volunteer needs

Requirements:

• Prior experience in volunteer management or coordination preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for serving others and promoting a sense of community
• Knowledge of church operations and activities a plus
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
