Position: Addiction Counselor

Responsibilities:

– Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients undergoing detoxification.
– Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on assessments and client needs.
– Conduct and document client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
– Collaborate with medical staff and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
– Educate clients on coping mechanisms, relapse prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.
– Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in counseling practices.

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
– Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) preferred.
– Previous experience working in a drug abuse and addiction treatment setting.
– Strong understanding of substance abuse disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals.
– Compassionate and nonjudgmental approach to working with individuals in recovery.
