Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled physician and surgeon to join our team at Peter Mortensen, MD. The ideal candidate will be a board-certified ophthalmologist with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. As a physician and surgeon with our practice, you will be responsible for performing surgeries, diagnosing and treating eye conditions, and providing comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages.
Responsibilities
- Perform eye surgeries, including cataract surgery, LASIK, and corneal transplants
- Evaluate and treat patients with various eye conditions, such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy
- Conduct comprehensive eye exams and interpret test results
- Counsel patients on treatment options and provide ongoing care management
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure holistic patient care
- Participate in research projects and contribute to advancements in ophthalmology
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree
- Board certification in ophthalmology
- Valid state medical license
- Strong surgical skills and experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
