Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate with carriers, agents, and customs brokers to ensure smooth transportation of goods
• Prepare and process documentation for shipments, including bills of lading and export/import documentation
• Negotiate rates with carriers and vendors to optimize costs and service levels
• Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues or delays
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving shipping-related problems
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance with international trade laws

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics
• Knowledge of international shipping procedures and regulations
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Relevant certifications such as Certified International Freight Forwarder (CIFF) is a plus
