Job Title: Optometrist

We are seeking a licensed Optometrist to join our team at Scarsdale Vision Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing and treating eye conditions, prescribing corrective lenses, and educating patients on proper eye care practices.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting thorough eye exams to assess vision and eye health
• Determining prescriptions for eyeglasses and contact lenses
• Diagnosing and treating eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration
• Educating patients on proper eye care practices and the importance of regular eye exams
• Collaborating with other eye care professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

Requirements:

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited school of optometry
• Current state license to practice optometry
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of current optometric practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Dedication to providing exceptional patient care

Job Title: Ophthalmologist

We are also seeking a board-certified Ophthalmologist to join our team at Scarsdale Vision Center. The ideal candidate will be skilled in diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions and performing surgical procedures when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Performing comprehensive eye exams and specialized tests to diagnose eye conditions
• Developing treatment plans for eye diseases and disorders
• Performing surgical procedures such as cataract surgery, LASIK, and corneal transplants
• Collaborating with optometrists and other eye care professionals to provide integrated patient care
• Staying up-to-date on advancements in ophthalmology and incorporating new techniques into practice

Requirements:

• Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited medical school
• Residency training in ophthalmology
• Board certification in ophthalmology
• Licensure to practice medicine in the state of New York
• Expertise in surgical procedures and proficiency with advanced technology

Job Title: Optician

We are also looking for an experienced Optician to join our team at Scarsdale Vision Center. The ideal candidate will be skilled in fitting and dispensing eyewear, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring that patients’ eye care needs are met with precision and care.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting patients in selecting frames and lenses that suit their vision needs and style preferences
• Taking accurate measurements for eyeglasses and contact lenses
• Adjusting and repairing eyewear to ensure proper fit and comfort
• Educating patients on lens options, coatings, and care instructions
• Maintaining inventory of eyewear and optical supplies

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification as a licensed Optician
• Experience in fitting and dispensing eyewear
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
