Job Description

As an Attorney at Simpson Thacher, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of complex legal matters for some of the world’s largest and most sophisticated clients. You will collaborate with colleagues across practice areas and offices to develop creative solutions to challenging legal issues. This position offers the chance to work on high-stakes matters and to develop your skills as a legal practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Conducting legal research and analysis
• Drafting legal documents, including briefs, motions, and contracts
• Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings
• Providing strategic legal advice to clients
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement legal strategies

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction where you will be practicing
• 2-5 years of experience practicing law, preferably at a top law firm
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
