Position: Landfill Operations Manager
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landfill Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our landfill site. This position is ideal for someone who has a strong background in waste management and a passion for environmental stewardship. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of landfill operators, ensuring compliance with all regulations, and implementing best practices for waste disposal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage landfill operations, including waste disposal, landfill gas management, and site maintenance
- Supervise a team of landfill operators and provide training and support as needed
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to waste management
- Implement environmental best practices to minimize the impact of landfill operations on the surrounding area
- Monitor landfill gas collection systems and perform regular inspections to ensure proper operation
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in waste management or a related field
- Strong knowledge of landfill operations and regulatory requirements
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field (preferred)
