Position Available: Criminal Law Attorney

Job Description

At SKV, we are currently seeking a talented and experienced Criminal Law Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in criminal law, with experience in both state and federal courts. Responsibilities for this position include:

• Representing clients in criminal defense matters, including pretrial hearings, trials, and appeals.
• Conducting legal research and analysis to develop case strategies.
• Negotiating plea deals and settlements on behalf of clients.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and key stakeholders.
• Participating in firm initiatives, such as pro bono work and community outreach programs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Texas or eligibility for admission via waiver or reciprocity.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience practicing criminal law.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
