South Houston Lumber Co is currently seeking experienced Lumber Yard Workers to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with wood and are eager to contribute to a company with a long-standing reputation for excellence.

Job Title: Lumber Yard Worker

Location: South Houston Lumber Co, Houston, TX

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming lumber shipments
• Organize and maintain lumber yard inventory
• Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist customers with loading and unloading lumber products
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures
• Perform general maintenance and cleaning tasks in the lumber yard

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in a lumber yard or similar environment
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in outdoor conditions
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Forklift certification is a plus
