Position: Medical Assistant

Location: Southwest Plaza 1 Medical Clinic, City

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

– Assisting physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient care
– Taking vital signs and recording patient information
– Performing basic laboratory tests and preparing specimens for testing
– Preparing examination rooms and ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
– Administering medications under the direction of a physician
– Assisting with patient education and follow-up care instructions
– Maintaining patient confidentiality and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
– Other duties as assigned by the healthcare team

Qualifications:

– High school diploma or equivalent
– Completion of a certified medical assistant program
– Current CPR certification
– Previous experience working in a medical clinic or similar healthcare setting
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
– Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures
