Job Title: Director of Worship & Music
Job Description:
Southwest Presbyterian Church is seeking a talented and passionate Director of Worship & Music to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep appreciation for traditional Presbyterian Church music and liturgy, as well as the ability to incorporate contemporary elements to engage our diverse congregation.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead worship services in collaboration with the Pastor
- Select hymns, songs, and other music for each service
- Coordinate and lead rehearsals with the music ministry team
- Recruit and train volunteers for the music ministry
- Work with other church staff to develop a cohesive worship experience
- Attend regular staff meetings and participate in church events
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Music, Worship, or a related field
- Experience leading worship in a Presbyterian Church setting
- Proficiency in playing an instrument, preferably organ or piano
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
- Commitment to the mission and values of Southwest Presbyterian Church
