Position: Sushi Chef

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Sushi Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Japanese cuisine and a strong understanding of traditional sushi-making techniques. As a Sushi Chef at Sushi Nami & Poke, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi dishes, as well as collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare sushi dishes in accordance with the restaurant’s recipes and quality standards
• Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients used in sushi preparation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sushi station
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timing of orders
• Train and mentor junior sushi chefs

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Sushi Chef in a high-volume restaurant
• Strong knowledge of sushi-making techniques and Japanese ingredients
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Food Handler’s Certification is a plus
