We Are Hiring: Synagogue Outreach Coordinator

Job Title: Synagogue Outreach Coordinator

As the Synagogue Outreach Coordinator at The Moorish Science Temple of America, you will play a vital role in building relationships with local synagogues and fostering interfaith dialogue and collaboration. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about promoting religious harmony and fostering a sense of community among diverse faith traditions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage with local synagogues and Jewish communities
• Organize interfaith events, discussions, and activities to promote understanding and collaboration between our congregation and synagogues
• Coordinate partnerships and collaborative initiatives with synagogues to address social justice issues and promote unity within the community
• Serve as a liaison between our organization and synagogues to facilitate communication and partnership opportunities
• Maintain regular contact with synagogues through phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings to build lasting relationships
• Collaborate with the internal team to promote interfaith initiatives and events within our congregation
• Track and report on outreach efforts, partnership developments, and feedback from synagogues to improve future engagement strategies

Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Experience in community outreach, event planning, or interfaith relations is preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Passion for promoting unity and understanding among different religious communities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals
• Knowledge of Jewish traditions, customs, and beliefs is a plus
