About Us:

Third Ward Community Cloth Cooperative is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and families in our community through sustainable and ethical fashion practices. Our cooperative operates a textile manufacturing and design studio that produces high-quality, eco-friendly clothing and accessories.

Position Overview:

As a Community Outreach Coordinator, you will play a key role in connecting our cooperative with the local community. You will be responsible for developing and implementing outreach initiatives that promote our mission, increase awareness of our products and services, and engage community members in our work. You will work closely with our team to develop partnerships with other organizations, plan community events, and represent our cooperative at public events and meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement outreach strategies to raise awareness of our cooperative.
• Build and maintain relationships with community partners, including local businesses, schools, and nonprofit organizations.
• Organize and participate in community events, such as fashion shows, pop-up shops, and fundraisers.
• Create marketing materials, including flyers, social media posts, and press releases.
• Represent Third Ward Community Cloth Cooperative at public events, meetings, and conferences.
• Track and report on the impact of outreach efforts, including engagement metrics and feedback from community members.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in community outreach, marketing, or related field.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for sustainability, social justice, and community development.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Experience working in the fashion industry or with sustainable fashion brands.
• Knowledge of social media marketing and branding strategies.
• Experience working with diverse communities and populations.
• Fluency in Spanish or other languages spoken in the local community.
