Job Title: Medical Assistant

Total Woman Healthcare is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at one of our clinics. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the clinic, as well as providing support to healthcare providers in delivering patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

– Assist healthcare providers in performing various medical procedures and examinations
– Take vital signs and record patient information accurately
– Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical instruments
– Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
– Schedule appointments and follow up with patients as needed
– Assist with medical billing and coding
– Maintain patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
– Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and preventive care
– Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure patient needs are met
– Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications:

– High school diploma or equivalent required
– Completion of a medical assistant training program or equivalent work experience
– Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
– CPR certification
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
– Experience in women’s health or OB/GYN setting is a plus
