Position: Substance Abuse Counselor

Job Description

As a Substance Abuse Counselor at Toxicology Associates Inc, you will be responsible for providing counseling and support to individuals struggling with substance abuse disorders. You will work closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans, facilitate therapy sessions, and monitor progress towards recovery.

Responsibilities

• Conducting assessments to determine the severity of addiction
• Developing individualized treatment plans
• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions
• Providing education on addiction and recovery
• Monitoring client progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
• Maintaining accurate and confidential client records

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
• Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor (LADC)
• Experience working in a drug abuse and addiction center
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches
• Compassionate and non-judgmental approach to counseling
