Physicians & Surgeons

As a physician or surgeon at University-TX HSC San Antonio, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of dedicated healthcare professionals who are committed to providing the highest quality care to our patients. We are looking for individuals who are board-certified or board-eligible in their respective specialties and have a strong commitment to excellence in patient care.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients in an outpatient and inpatient setting
• Perform diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and follow-up care
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for patients
• Contribute to medical education and research initiatives

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of residency training in the respective specialty
• Board certification or eligibility in the respective specialty
• Texas medical license or eligibility for licensure in Texas
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Family Medicine & General Practice

Our family medicine and general practice physicians play a crucial role in providing primary care services to individuals and families in our community. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated healthcare providers who are committed to promoting wellness and preventative care.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages
• Perform routine examinations, screenings, and vaccinations
• Manage chronic conditions and coordinate care with specialists as needed
• Counsel patients on healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of residency training in family medicine or general practice
• Board certification or eligibility in family medicine or general practice
• Texas medical license or eligibility for licensure in Texas
• Excellent interpersonal and patient communication skills

Surgery-General

Our general surgeons at University-TX HSC San Antonio are at the forefront of surgical care and innovation. We are seeking skilled surgeons who are experienced in a wide range of general surgery procedures and are dedicated to providing compassionate care to their patients.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of general surgery procedures with precision and expertise
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
