Visiting Podiatru is currently looking to hire a Health Plans-Information & Referral Service Specialist to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in assisting patients with their health insurance plans, providing accurate information, and referring them to appropriate services within our clinic or external providers.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide detailed information to patients about their health insurance plans, including coverage, benefits, and limitations
• Assist patients in understanding their out-of-pocket expenses and financial responsibilities
• Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for services
• Coordinate referrals for patients to specialists, imaging centers, and other healthcare providers
• Work closely with the billing department to ensure accurate and timely processing of insurance claims
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of health insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance companies
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems and insurance verification software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
