Position: Medical Assistant

As a Medical Assistant at WellBound Houston, you will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare providers and ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work in a fast-paced medical environment and make a positive impact on the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare providers with patient exams and procedures
• Record patient medical history and vital signs accurately
• Prepare exam rooms and equipment for patient visits
• Administer medications under the direction of healthcare providers
• Perform routine laboratory tests and assist with patient education
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a medical assistant training program
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred
• Prior experience in a medical setting is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
