Position: Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Houston, Texas

Job Description

West Oaks Hospital is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatric nursing and a passion for providing quality care to individuals with mental health disorders.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in our inpatient psychiatric unit
• Assess and evaluate patients’ mental health status
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Administer medications and monitor for potential side effects
• Facilitate therapeutic groups and individual counseling sessions
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Texas
• Minimum of 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience
• Strong knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment modalities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
