We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team in the following position:

Position: Youth Minister

As the Youth Minister at Westminster United Methodist Church, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of our youth. You will lead and support our youth programs, mentor youth members, and create a safe and engaging environment for spiritual growth and development.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement youth programs that promote spiritual growth, fellowship, and service
• Mentor and support youth members in their faith journey
• Organize and lead youth events, retreats, and service projects
• Collaborate with church staff and volunteers to integrate youth into the larger church community
• Provide pastoral care and support to youth and their families
• Recruit and train volunteers to assist with youth programs and events
• Stay informed on current trends and issues impacting youth ministries

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in theology, education, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• Previous experience working with youth in a church or community setting
• Strong understanding of Methodist beliefs and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for youth ministry and supporting young people in their faith journey
• Ability to work collaboratively with church staff, volunteers, and parents
• Willingness to undergo a background check and screening process
